Excerpts of Thank You letters:

My son, Ahrele Gruman, who has Down Syndrom, is ecstatic as soon as he spots a letter from Project Refuah notifying us about a camp. He has been attending camps for several years. He remembers the names of the counselors, reminisces on all the fun activities and sings the songs throughout the year.”

  • Family Gruman

We’re always amazed at how things are done here. Whether it’s having someone pick up the phone for us at all hours of the day, the endless patience and cheerful attitude, the door-to-door transportation even from the farthest locations. And most of all – the way our child returns home: freshly bathed and ready to be put to bed in great spirits. This gives us a feeling that there are people who fully share our burden.”

  • Chanoch B.’s father and family

Our daughter came home elated, with a priceless smile on her face. I don’t know if you’re aware of the magnitude of the chessed you do with the children and with us the parents.”

  • B. F., Jerusalem

Thank you for the warm blessings to our dear son Netanel. We realized for the first time that someone else out there remembers our son’s special day.”

  • The Philus Family, Ashkelon

We got back a child who was beaming from ear to ear and who can’t wait for the next time. And he came back to a family that was rejuvenated. Fortunate are we the Jewish nation, that we have such amazing angels who bring respite to the special child and his family with such joy and devotion.”

  • Shimshi Rosenbaum and Family

We’re privileged to be part of a family that’s one of a kind
With the Project Refuah Family we’re fortunate to be entwined
Incredibly noble and selfless they devote their days
And open their hearts in a way that never ceases to amaze”

  • A family that had a vacation from being special

A wheelchair-accessible van came to pick him up and everything was done with so much love. Eliran told us that his volunteer fed him well, he was able to sleep well and he had a great time throughout Shabbos. He came back in seventh heaven! And meanwhile we were able to relax and recharge!”

  • Family Wasserman, Haifa

“Yehudaleh’s celebration was orchestrated by Project Refuah – an organization that is so far from being merely a “project” that I wonder why the humble name continues to stick. There is hardly an Israeli parent of a child with special needs that doesn’t know Project Refuah.”

  • D. W.

I contacted Project Refuah and their Respite Home and other programs have become a source of unimaginable relief for us, during the hardest times. I ask you please to try to help me get Yehoshua registered for the Rosh Hashanah camp. I was told to call in another week but I am anxious because I know that registration fills up very quickly.”

  • L. S.

“Our daughter came home elated, with a priceless smile on her face. I don’t know if you’re aware of the magnitude of the chessed you do with the children and with us the parents.”
