The President of the State of Israel, Reuven Rivlin, welcomed today a group of Project Refuah’s children, volunteers and representatives to the President’s Residence.  President Rivlin addressed the volunteers, saying, “It is a joy to meet you, you who work for the sick among people and help individuals who cannot always help themselves – your desire to help and contribute warms our hearts.”   He movingly concluded that “You show us the meaning of the words Kol Yisrael Areivim Zeh LaZeh – all Jews are responsible for one another.”

Mr. Werdiger thanked the President for all he does on behalf of Israel and said, “We cannot know the Creator’s reasons for bringing down these special children to the world. But one thing we do know: He wants to test us and see how we’re going to help take care of them.”

The group, which also enjoyed a full tour of the President’s Residence, was joined by Project Refuah’s director Nachman Widislavsky, and the U.S. Chairman of the organization, Mr. Shlomo Werdiger, his wife Esther and their children.
