Inauguration Event for Government Representatives

Representatives of the Welfare Ministry and Bituach Leumi participated in an Inauguration Event at the Jerusalem Respite Home. Bituach Leumi partnered with this project by funding all the equipment and the Welfare Ministry will be an ongoing partner by subsidizing respite days at the Respite Home. Representatives of both agencies heaped effusive praise on Project Refuah, commenting on the organization’s warm family-like atmosphere coupled with professionalism and efficiency.

Following are excerpts from their remarks.

“I feel privileged to partner with this process and we’ll continue standing at your side, whether it’s the amount of respite days allocated or programming days. I extend my wishes to you that you see a lot of success, good deeds and positive action here.”

Gidon Shalom, Senior Vice President of Welfare Ministry’s Disability Services Department
“They can bring their child here to the Respite Home. There’s double value. The family can take a break and give time to their other children. In addition, the children here receive a lot of love, support and social interaction.”

Shmuel Weinglass, Director of Bitauch Leumi’s Disability Services Fund
We should celebrate more such milestones, inaugurations of homes and buildings, but also those activities that do not depend on buildings.

Vivian Ezran, Director of Welfare Ministry’s Public Services
When you want to achieve something and you go through the process, including all the interactions with everyone around you, you bring about results while also developing yourself. And my feeling is – this is what is happening here.

Aryeh Shemesh, National Supervisor of Welfare Ministry’s Out-of-Home Frameworks
